My role as a mindset coach is to teach athletes how to unlock their greatest potential, to help build intrinsic confidence, identify the areas where athletes get stuck and teach them the tools to master their minds.

ABOUT ANN

I am a former professional indoor and beach volleyball player, a coach for over 20 years, and a certified life coach and sports mindset coach. During my athletic career, I've experienced both solid unbreakable confidence and also the most fragile insecure place of doubting myself and my abilities while on the world's biggest stage. I am deeply committed to teaching athletes how to retrain their brains so they can unlock their true potential. My sweet spot is volleyball mindset coaching but I work with athletes in all sports. Just wrapped up a program with a 70-year-old pickleball player who won gold in the Pickleball Championships, and I've worked with an 11-year-old golf prodigy, I've proven you're never too young or old to optimize your mindset.

Start by mastering your mindset

Emotional Regulation

Emotions are energy. Learn to use your emotions to reach the ideal activation level for your sport, your position. Learn how to manage the range of emotions you encounter before, during, and after competition.

Finding Flow state

Achieving a state of flow can greatly enhance an athlete's performance, leading to better results and greater enjoyment of the sport. Get tools to access it more often and eliminate the blocks that get you to your flow.

Imagery

Through visualization we'll design every piece of your ideal outcome and bring it to life. Imagery will help manage energy levels, enhance readiness, and deal with the many challenges associated with high level performance. We use it to overcome mental challenges and to access flow state.

Expectations vs
process goals

Most athletes have unspoken unrealistic expectations that hinder high level performance. We will uncover those and set up realistic process goals that actually get you to your goals more efficently.

Focus

Enhance the direction and duration of your focus, and use it to get in the zone and stay in the zone. You’ll learn to use focus training to weed out the mindset garbage, power through adversity and distractions, and optimize your mind for competition.

Perfectionism

The first step is to help athletes uncover perfectionist beliefs that keep them stuck AND help them understand how it hurts their confidence. Perfectionism can be sneaky and hard to identfy as a block to your potential, but we will unlock your performance by identifying and reframing  perfetionsit thinking. 

Confidence

Where does your confidence come from? Is it sturdy or fragile? We'll get clear where you source your confidence and we'll identify how you can take the reins on your confidence so it's consistent and pro-active. 

Mindfulness

You have the power to control your thoughts. Through mindfulness activities like meditation, visualization and intentional self reflection we will build a mindfulness practice into your training routine.

Ann was amazing! She helped me work through many mental blocks after tearing my ACL in September! I am a few months from returning back to sport, but I have gained some practical tools that have allowed me to move forward and progress with recovery. She was very kind but was not afraid to push me to grow. This coaching has opened up many different pathways to success with healthy coping skills.
